    Customer questions & answers

Question:How’s the latency? And can you plug an aux cable into them? I’d like to use them with electronic drums but would need to be very low latency
Answer:Just to clarify, when connecting them with the Apple 3.5mm aux cable, there is no noticeable latency.
I use them for esports gaming as my main headphones and they’re amazing.
Additionally, as a drummer of 22 years, I would not recommend any ANC headphones for use with drums in general tho. You might be able to get away with them with the e-kit but any sounds in the environment around you that are too loud for the ANC mics on the outside of the APM will cause the audio to completely get destroyed for a second or two till they recover. You cannot use them with live drums or in a concert venue confidently. They will almost surely glitch occasionally which can cause loud clipping noises that can damage your hearing.

Question:Sorry if this is a dumb question but it’s not addressed anywhere… Are these just headphones or can I speak and make calls, are they also a headset?
Answer:I use these on iPads, from older ones to latest Pro 12.9”.
    Also on iPhone 13ProMax.
And further, on a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra
ALL have excellent call quality; phone calls & Zoom-style calls.
ALL have excellent music reproduction quality.
This headset can be used while charging battery
Physical buttons to control volume, answer & end call, & control outside sound and on/off
Outside sound can be either ‘Surround Sound On’ or “Noise-Cancelling”
(Surround On is like a hearing aide for me. Works real well)
Yes, Samsung phone missing Spatial Sound. Everything else works.

    Question:What is the max resolution?
Answer:It's a Bluetooth device that uses an AAC codec. The codec bitrate is 256kbps, and any transcoding is done on the transmitting device as per Bluetooth 5.2 spec. If you listen to Apple Music with AirPods, the original 256kbps data is simply sent over Bluetooth and decoded at the headphones, so there is no generational loss. Lossless audio is not possible with current implementations of Bluetooth.

Question:Can these be used by non-Apple products?
Answer:I use these AirPod Max headphones with iPhones & iPads for music , Amazon Prime videos, Netflix, YouTube and phone calls.
I also use these with a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G phone for the same uses as in the Apple ‘eco-system’.
True, there is no Spatial Audio, but I haven’t used that feature yet.
    Music quality is great.
Phone calls are great; I can hear, and be heard even in a noisy environment.
Note… I use these AirPod Max in ‘Transparent’ mode.
This is great; sort of a ‘poor-man’s’ hearing aid.
I rarely use noise-cancellation; it isolates me too much. The exception is when I am using power equipment, such as mowers/trimmers or wood-working tools such as saw, planer, drill-press etc.
The extreme noise already isolates, so noise-cancelation is good.
Paired to my phone, it lets me listen to music, hear incoming calls, and still reduce tool noise.

Question:First time of significant use the clamp force became too uncomfortable. curious of others experience. get better over time? or r these not for me?
Answer:Yes. It did get better for me. They are now uncomfortable only for the first minute or two I have them on. One tip is to make sure they sit down fully on the top of your head without a gap. I just push them down with my hand.

    A**o

They are very comfortable, the sound is very good, you can hear all the instruments, the cancellation is really good and the ambient mode, not to mention why you don't have them on, was between the black or blue color, I had the black ones before these and I prefer the blue ones.

These are really well made, quality headphones. The build is perfect, just like an iPhone everything fits perfectly and is well finished. There are clever little design touches like the removable earcups — you can buy new ones when you get grossed out by the old ones. The spinning knob feels great and can be used to get exactly the volume you want, perfect when you are trying to fall asleep. I find these comfortable enough to wear almost 24/7. The sound transparency is top-notch, actually helps me understand people as I’m hard of hearing. They don’t have an off-button but they go into a very low power mode automatically so I don’t miss that. Using this with many different Apple devices is the best improvement over my old headphones, I used to spend ten minutes switching my other headphones in an app and in settings — having more than two Apple devices is probably the best use case for this product. Well, that and also I can use these with the Apple TV, there is no lag and it connects quickly. Drawbacks: 1) apparently these are not for really high-end listening to lossless audio, but they sound great compared to other Bluetooth noise canceling headphones 2) they are heavy (actually made of metal) and might put too much pressure on the head for some (less comfortable than Bose 35s) 3) too fragile for workouts and not a bit water resistant 4) case is completely useless.

With the apple ecosystem they are perfect, being able to change from device to device & the transparency mode is perfect for listening to others but keep in mind that with this mode I notice a reduction in the quality of music.

Noise canceling is good but human voices in the area are not entirely canceled which is a bit disappointing. They are beautiful and fit my head well. At first they seemed heavy when held but don’t feel heavy when worn.

Only the case is very basic for how good these headphones sound

HUGE upgrade compared to my Bose QC35 II. I am in love with these headphones. Compared to the Bose, this blows the noise cancellation out of the water and the bass is way more better. These are a little bit heavier but I feel they are more comfortable. They came in the magnetic case and came with a usb-c to lighting cable. One complaint I have is the “case” isn’t really a case, but you need it because that’s the only way you can turn off the headphones. So I ordered a simple 10$ hard shell case for it. Hope this helped!

These are by far the best wireless noise canceling headphones I’ve ever used. Yes, the price is extremely high for headphones, but, if you have other Apple devices, it’s well worth it. Spatial sound is amazing, not only for music, but movies and TV shows. Connect these to your Apple TV 4K, sit back and be prepared to hear things you’ve never heard before.

Sound and noise cancellation are superb and I love the handy volume control on the right earpiece. Initial Bluetooth connection wasn’t successful until I connected it to the charger. Compared to the Air pod Pros it seems to switch as soon as you've placed them over your ears faster. You can see your remaining battery strength on the top right area of your iPhone and the estimated 20 hour capacity seems to be conservative. I've been advised that it warns you when reaching 20,10 and 5 percent remaining levels. The reviews that mentioned the weight being an issue are correct and you should also expect noticeable warmth buildup inside the ear cups after a short period of time, especially if you're exercising or on your Peloton. Recommend buying an aftermarket ear cup protector to prevent scratches 2 protect your investment!

Have the big three in this category ( plus a couple wireless non noise canceling). IMO Best comfort, NC and sound of the bunch.

Listen, I was on the fence about these headphones for a while because of all the conflicting reviews, ooooohhh there is no power button, ooooohhh the case looks like a purse, ooooohhh it squeezes my head... If you have an iphone and you like music and you have the money and you want these, GET EM! They are worth it! Look, if your head is broad and your ears are big and you worry about losing 2% battery in your sleep, skip these... simple They are great!
